OBJECTIVE

The Dynamics GP consultant/developer will be a direct client facing resource that will provide guidance to the client on the implementation, configuration, best practices and functionality of Dynamics GP, Crystal Reports, and FRx Report Writer. They will also be responsible for maintaining, modifying, and developing integrations to Dynamics GP using C# and eConnect.  

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:  

    • Provide primary support to the Finance department for Microsoft Dynamics GP.

    • Perform business requirements analysis and design

    • Perform gap analysis between Dynamics GP functionality and client's requirements

    • Identify and recommend customizations, 3rd parties or workarounds to meet client requirements

    • Able to author all standard documentation

    • Author specifications for both functional and technical requirements

    • Develop design specs

    • Represent best practices for their area of expertise

    • May QA project documentation authored by consultants.

    • Train users on new business processes using Dynamics GP

    • Develop data conversion and testing strategies

    • Define infrastructure needs in term of hardware requirements

    • Experience performing requirement interviews and analyzing current business procedures.

    • Custom development and report writing

    • Development of software including, design, coding, debug and testing.

    • Participate in Agile/Scrum planning and development process.

Develop C# integration to Dynamics GP using eConnect and SqlServer queries.

PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

Stay abreast of the latest technological advances as they relate to an information technology environment.  Continue in the advancement and study of database management skill sets.

Requires mobility. Air and car travel, and time away from home may be required.   Requires prolonged sitting and standing.   Requires ability to communicate by telephone, keyed or printed/written English.  Requires the ability to operate office equipment, such as computer, software, copier, pager, cell phone.   Requires the ability to distinguish letters, numbers or symbols.  Regular, predictable attendance required.  Requires the ability to work in a fast paced environment.

Desired Skills & Experience

EXPERIENCE

Experiences should cover some of the following areas with some knowledge / exposure to the other areas:

    • Experience in developing desktop application software using .NET platform and Visual Studio .NET 2008 or 2010

    • BS in Computer Science or Engineering

    • 4+ years of experience programming C#

    • Web Services/WCF knowledge

    • Experience with financial/accounting processes

    • Experience performing requirement interviews and analyzing current business procedures.

    • 5+ years experience implementing Dynamics GP Distribution and Financial modules required

    • The ideal candidate must have experience with GP 2010

    • Functional and technical expertise in Dynamics GP required

    • 3+ years technical experience in SQL, Report Writer, SmartlistBuilder and Management

    • Experience in developing integrations using the eConnect service  

EDUCATION

BS in Computer Science or Engineering  

CERTIFICATE/LICENSE

Highly desirable to have one or more:

    • Dynamics GP  Certification

    • Development Language Certifications
