OBJECTIVE
The Software Engineer role is to create software applications to adhere to designs supporting internal business requirements or external customers. They follow the standardize quality assurance procedure for Amovius software engineering & testing. Ability to oversees their own testing and develops fixes for assigned bugs. They have a basic understanding of database systems & technology. Software Engineer I has knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular software engineering field, and rely on experience & judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks as directed and works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude required. This position requires a willingness to learn new technologies rapidly and become proficient at implementing enterprise technologies. This person will also have good written and verbal communication skills and a demonstrated professional demeanor.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Create and maintain software applications and documentation as directed by Amovius Management
• Run, deploy, and maintain quality assurance procedures & processes as directed by Amovius Management
• Communicate project, task, and issue status in a timely and complete manner
• Create, document, and process use cases from technical requirements
• Ability to participate in group code reviews
• Ability to work in an Agile environment
• Willingness to learn & work in multiple programming languages.
• Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION
4 year college degree BS or equivalent
CERTIFICATE/LICENSE
Not required, but highly desirable either:
• Microsoft Development Certifications
• Java Development Certifications

EXPERIENCE
Experiences should cover some of the following areas with some knowledge / exposure to the other areas:
• 3+ years of professional level experience in corporate C# development
• Microsoft .NET Framework focused on C#
• Source Code Management products / packages
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2008, 2010 - TFS
• Database Systems -- (MS SQL 2008 R2)
